Reduce the loss between what an operation intends and what actually happens.
Product is the part everyone counts: the batch that outran its orders, the tray that expired in the walk-in. But the same gap shows up as time, as information that arrives too late to act on, and as management capacity spent working out what happened instead of deciding what happens next.
Product shrink is visible. Operational shrink is harder to see. We are building for both.

How We Found It
The problem showed up in our own kitchens
Shrink Software was founded by the team behind Anu Sushi LLC — a multi-site institutional food manufacturer supplying hospitals, universities, and corporate dining through Sodexo and Aramark. After a failed ERP implementation left the operation with no real visibility into daily shrink, waste, or compliance status, the team built Shrink Manager from scratch.
What became obvious in the process is that the missing shrink number was the symptom, not the disease. The records existed — on paper, in spreadsheets, in people's heads — but nothing connected the work to the data, so every question meant reconstructing an answer after the fact.
Every feature was developed, tested, and refined across 10 active production sites before commercialization was pursued. Shrink Manager has been running in live production for over two years — generating real data, solving real problems, and used every shift by the people it was built for.
We spun out Shrink Software LLC in 2023 to bring what we built to the broader institutional food production market. Anu Sushi remains an affiliated operator and is where the platform runs today.
